HOW CAN I BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE CP3 NATIONAL MIDDLE SCHOOL COMBINE?
The CP3 National Middle School Combine (CP3NMSC) is an annual, invitation-only event series, designed for the top sixth through eighth grade youth basketball prospects in the United States and abroad. Be advised that CP3NMSC a grade-based and enforces strict eligibility requirements due to roster demand. Players in the Classes of 2028-2030 are eligible for our 2023 event schedule. Once again, please understand that the CP3NMSC is not an open-enrollment event, and all prospective participants must be invited in order to attend.
To be considered for an invitation, a player nomination form may be submitted through our website, which will be reviewed within the dates stated above. A determination will then be made if the respective player should receive an invitation to attend. Please do not submit multiple nominations. Submitting a player nomination does not guarantee that an invitation will be awarded.
All player nominations are reviewed by our camp directors and selection committee members to determine if the respective player will be extended an invitation to participate at the CP3NMSC. Please note the difference between a "nomination" versus an "invitation"; submitting a nomination does not guarantee an official invitation will be extended. Additionally, once awarded an invitation, all invited players must confirm their attendance by completing the registration form (and subsequent payment/enrollment fee). Please do not confuse a player nomination with the player registration process.
All participants must compete that at their current grade level. Players found to register and/or compete in the wrong division, whether intentionally or not, may be declared ineligible and forced to vacate their roster spot as well as forfeit their eligibility future CP3 and Jordan Brand events.
NOTE: Whether or not you have "played up" an age/grade division at other camps and/or tournaments has no bearing on CP3 Camp policies and procedures. Players in the Classes of 2027 and older are INELIGIBLE and players in the Classes of 2031 and young are currently INELIGIBLE until the CP3 Camps 2024 calendar is released.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Official dates and locations for the 2022 CP3 National Middle School Combine event series have now been released!
The CP3 National Middle School Combine operates on a Sept. 1-Aug. 31 schedule as opposed to a traditional calendar year. Our event line-up features five (5), rotating, regional camps to allow for adequate roster capacity based on demand. The most updated list of upcoming camps can be viewed by clicking here.
Our Fall 2022 CP3NMSC events are exclusively for student-athletes in the Classes of 2027, 2028, 2029, with opportunities for the Class of 2030 to be announced in 2023. Boys and girls divisions compete separately by gender and grade.
NOTE: It is strongly encouraged that all interested parties register as soon as possible upon receiving an invitation. Since 2013, all previous CP3NMSC sessions have sold-out in advance. Player registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis for invited players and will automatically close once the roster reaches capacity. Due to demand, an invitation does not guarantee a roster spot for the respective event will be held.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CP3NMSC AND CP3 RISING STARS?
The CP3 National Middle School Combine offers several regional qualifying events for the prestigious CP3 Rising Stars National Camp each year. While prospects in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are eligible to attend CP3NMSC, only rising high school freshmen (incoming 9th graders) and high school sophomores (incoming 10th graders) are eligible to attend CP3 Rising Stars. Any of the CP3NMSCs offer an opportunity to punch your ticket to CP3 Rising Stars!
The CP3NMSC events are intended to be identical in terms of talent, schedule, and structure. The only difference between CP3NMSC events is location, with the intent of making travel more convenient for players hoping to earn their future invitations to CP3 Rising Stars National Camp.
Invited players are allowed to participate in multiple CP3NMSC events in an effort to qualify for CP3 Rising Stars.
WHAT IS THE GENERAL FORMAT OF THE CP3NMSC?
Introductory information regarding the CP3 National Middle School Combine can be accessed by clicking here.
The general daily schedule is a mandatory check-in on the Friday evening of the event where all non-basketball requirements are checked off prior the action beginning on Saturday. Saturday morning consists of on- and off-court station work that includes guest speakers and educational presentations. Following a lunch break, Saturday afternoon consists of 5-on-5 game action for campers to be evaluated in a team setting.
Sunday at CP3NMSC mirrors Saturday, with abbreviated station work in the morning session followed by a final, 5-on-5 game set played prior to the lunch break. Sunday afternoon is reserved for the announcement of CP3NMSC All-Star rosters and games which are played prior to the camp's conclusion.

HOW ARE PLAYERS INVITED TO ATTEND?
The CP3 National Middle School Combine is an invitation-only event.
In order to be eligible to register for a CP3NMSC event, the respective camper must be in middle school (current 6th-7th-8th grade), and receive an official invitation to attend. A player nomination for must be submitted for all players that wish to attend the CP3 National Middle School Combine. Submit a player nomination using this link.
Once the player nomination form has been submitted, it will be reviewed by our camp directors, and a determination will be made if the player will be invited to attend. Please note the difference between a "nomination" versus an "invitation"; submitting a nomination does not guarantee an official invitation will be extended.
Additionally, once awarded an invitation, all invited players must confirm their attendance by completing the registration form (and subsequent payment/enrollment fee).
ARE PLAYERS ALLOWED TO 'PLAY UP' A GRADE DIVISION?
No. The CP3 National Middle School Combine is a grade-based event.
CP3NMSCs are regularly attended by various media members and NCAA-certified scouting services as well as representatives from USA Basketball and other prestigious organizations. Largely for evaluation purposes, in that scholarships are awarded based on grade not by age, the CP3NMSC requires all campers in attendance must participate in their actual/current grade division.
Players found to register in the wrong division, whether intentionally or not, may be declared ineligible and forced to vacate their roster spot for the CP3NMSC in question as well as future CP3 events.
I HAVE RECEIVED AN INVITATION TO ATTEND! WHAT'S NEXT?
Congratulations! Once a nomination form has been submitted and the respective nominee has been awarded an invitation, invitees must confirm their attendance by completing the CP3NMSC registration (sign-up) form and respective enrollment fee. Please note that due to demand an invitation does not guarantee a roster spot. Prospective campers are encouraged to register immediately. Registration will close automatically upon the respective event reaching roster capacity.
WHAT IS CANCELLATION INSURANCE? AM I REQUIRED TO PURCHASE THE INSURANCE?
Cancellation insurance is an optional purchase protection for your CP3NMSC registration. More details about our cancellation insurance policy is available by clicking here.
IS STAYING AT A HOST HOTEL MANDATORY?
No. Staying at a host hotel is recommended but not mandatory for campers and families.
Each host hotel offers a limited number of discounted rooms under our "CP3" block. As a guest of the host hotel, campers will have additional opportunities to interact with CP3 staff and other CP3 guests while offering the most convenient location in terms of proximity to our host gym.
Unfortunately, we cannot assist in the hotel booking process, but will provide information on our website which explains how to contact the hotel and make your reservation using the CP3NMSC discounted rate. Again, this is not a requirement, but is simply offered as a convenience for our campers and families.
IS CAMP CHECK-IN ON FRIDAY MANDATORY?
Yes! All participating players and their accompanying guardian(s) are required to be present for camper check-in on Friday evening. Fridays at each respective CP3NMSC are exclusively reserved for the "check-in" process.
Our staff strives to provide a first-class event with ample opportunities for all participants. For that reason, to ensure the full camp experience, check-in is on FRIDAY ONLY and is MANDATORY. In total, the check-in process and media sessions will take approximately 1.5-2 hours. Please anticipate long lines during this process. The earlier you arrive, the better!
During check-in, players receive their camp gear and can shop for additional items at the camp store, have their official combine measurements recorded, take part in a "meet and greet" session with staff members. Additional items available for purchase may include but are not limited to, professional action photos and headshots, player profiles/evaluations, social media graphics, coach/guardian-player photo packages, and video services such as on-camera interviews and player highlights.
No basketball is played on Friday at CP3NMSC, however, each camper should wear basketball shoes for photo/video purposes. Doors will open for check-in at the designated location on Friday beginning at 6:30pm (local time) and will close at 9:30pm (local time). Missing check-in on Friday may result in the respective camper(s) forfeiting their roster spot(s).
To complete check-in, guardians may be asked for a form of ID to verify the enrollment fee purchase, and campers will be required to verify (verbally) their DOB which is recorded at the time of registration/sign-up.
Once again, camper check-in is on FRIDAY ONLY and is MANDATORY. In accordance with CP3NMSC policies and schedule, late check-ins are not permitted without prior approval. Failure to check-in on Friday may result in a forfeiture of the respective roster spot to another individual on the waiting list. If you experience a travel delay or emergency en route to the event, please contact our directors immediately via email at staff@cp3nmsc.com.

HOW CAN I BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE CP3 NATIONAL MIDDLE SCHOOL COMBINE?
The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is an invitation-only, elite, individual event for the top underclassmen prospects in the United States and abroad.
In order to be eligible to attend, prospective campers must be incoming high school freshmen or sophomores (Classes of 2026 and 2027 for our 2023 event), and receive an official invitation (this is not an open-enrollment event).
To be considered for an invitation, a player nomination form may be submitted through our website, which will be reviewed within the dates stated above. A determination will then be made if the respective player should receive an invitation to attend. Submitting a player nomination does not guarantee that an invitation will be awarded.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PLAYER NOMINATION AND A CAMPER REGISTRATION?
The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is an invitation-only, elite camp. We accept and review player nominations for any prospective camper who is eligible for the event based on their grade. Anyone can submit a nomination (the players themselves, a coach, a parent/guardian, etc), however only one (1) nomination should be submitted per player. Multiple nominations for the same player are strongly discouraged. Submitting a player nomination does not guarantee that an invitation will be awarded.
For those players advancing through the nomination process, invitations are awarded to attend CP3 Rising Stars National Camp. From there, the camper registration process (also referred to as the "camper sign-up" process) should be completed immediately. The camper registration/sign-up portal will automatically close once the event reaches its roster capacity.
The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is an invitation-only, elite camp with a set number of roster spots. The pool of annual invitees is 10% larger than the roster capacity as not every player invited is able to attend. For this reason, roster spots are not guaranteed until the registration process has been completed.
Please note this event is in high-demand and has sold out every year for 10+ years; our enrollment reaches capacity much more quickly than other events. Invitees should REGISTER IMMEDIATELY upon receiving their invitation in order to confirm their respective roster spot. Once again, invitations do not guarantee roster spots. Further, roster spots are not confirmed for invitees until the camper registration process has been completed.
DO CAMPERS HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR GRADE DIVISION?
YES! The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is a grade-based event exclusively for campers in grade nine (incoming high school freshmen) and grade ten (incoming high school sophomores). All participants must compete in their grade division. Requests to compete "up" or "down" a grade division(s) are not allowed for any reason. No exceptions.
Campers found to register/compete in the wrong division, whether intentionally or not, may be declared ineligible and forced to vacate their roster spot for the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp as well as future CP3 events. Only student-athletes in the Classes of 2026 and 2027 are eligible to compete at the 2023 CP3 Rising Stars National Camp.
I SUBMITTED A PLAYER NOMINATION AND RECEIVED AN INVITATION TO ATTEND. WHAT'S NEXT?
Congratulations! Once a nomination form has been completed and you have been awarded an invitation, invited players must confirm their attendance by completing the registration form and registration fee immediately. A password to access the registration portal can be found within the official invitation email/text. Once again, please note that an invitation does not guarantee a roster spot. All previous CP3 Rising Stars events have sold-out in thirty (30) days ore less. The camper registration portal will automatically close once the event reaches its roster capacity.
