📬 How Can A Player Be Invited to Attend the CP3 National Middle School Combine?

The CP3 National Middle School Combine (CP3NMSC) is an annual, invitation-only event showcase series, designed for the top middle school prospects across North America and abroad. We offer five (5) events each year in every region of the country. To learn more, please visit our CP3 Camps Intro page.

The CP3NMSC is an individual showcase/development camp, not a team tournament, and all prospective campers must be selected for an invitation via the official CP3NMSC Player Nomination Form

CP3 Camps enforces strict, grade-based and eligibility requirements due to roster demand, and only invited sixth through eighth grade student-athletes are eligible to attend CP3NMSC events.

For the 2025 CP3NMSC events, the following classes/grades are eligible for invitations,

  • Class of 2030 / 8th Grade 🇺🇸 / Grade 9 🇨🇦 / International 15 Years Old Maximum Age 🇨🇳 🇪🇺 🇦🇺

  • Class of 2031 / 7th Grade 🇺🇸 / Grade 8 🇨🇦 / International 14 Years Old Maximum Age 🇨🇳 🇪🇺 🇦🇺

  • Class of 2032 / 6th Grade 🇺🇸 / Grade 7 🇨🇦 / International 13 Years Old Maximum Age 🇨🇳 🇪🇺 🇦🇺

While the player nomination portal remains open year-round, the camper invitation process begins in August and concludes in December. Five (5) CP3NMSC events take place annually from September through December.

During the invitation time period, please allow 4-5 days for the player nomination to be reviewed. No invitations will be sent outside of the stated invitation timeframe. Invitees will be notified of their selection via text message as well as email. Please do not submit multiple player nominations.

If you need to verify the legitimacy of your invitation, please email staff@cp3nmsc.com. Thank you!

👤 What Happens After A Player Nomination Form Is Submitted?

Following the submission of a CP3NMSC Player Nomination Form, all nominations are promptly and thoroughly evaluated by our National Selection Committee—composed of credible scouts, coaches, and grassroots basketball professionals.

Player Nominations are anonymous and open to the public. Coaches, trainers, media, and family members are all welcome to formally nominate a player through the CP3NMSC website. However, being nominated does not guarantee an invitation.

The selection process to determine invitees is led by veteran CP3 Camps staff members:

  • Houston Wilson, Director of Boys' Scouting & Recruiting

  • Jared Newson, Director of Girls' Scouting & Recruiting

The majority of evaluations occur during the travel team (AAU) tournaments in January through July. During this time, our committee conducts extensive live scouting and video analysis. Additionally, top performers from the CP3NMSC are closely tracked and may receive priority consideration for the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp

The CP3NMSC invitation process is highly-selective and designed to spotlight the nation's most promising middle school (sixth through eighth grade) prospects. All nominees are reviewed based on their performance, long-term upside, and intangible traits. The goal is to assemble the most competitive and nationally relevant group of prospects to participate in any of the existing five (5) CP3NMSC events across the country.

📚 If I Am Invited, Do I Have To Compete with my Grade Division?

Yes, all CP3NMSC participants must compete that at their current grade level. Players found to register and/or compete in the wrong division, whether intentionally or not, may be declared ineligible and forced to vacate their roster spot as well as forfeit their eligibility future CP3 Camps and other Jordan Brand events.

NOTE: Whether or not you have "played up" an age/grade division at other camps and/or tournaments has no bearing on CP3 Camp policies and procedures. Players in the Classes of 2029 and older are INELIGIBLE for 2025 CP3NMSC events as are student-athletes in the Classes of 2033 (5th Grade) and younger. However, please submit your information via the CP3NMSC Player Nomination Form to be considered for alternate grade-specific events for which you may be eligible now and/or in the future.

📝 What Is The Difference Between a Player Nomination and Player Registration?

This is a critical part of the CP3NMSC process.

  • Player Nomination: A submission recommending a player for consideration. Anyone (coach, parent, player, etc.) may complete a player nomination form — but we ask that only one nomination per player is submitted. The completion of a nomination does not guarantee an invitation to attend. If invited, prospective attendees should then advance to the camper registration process.

  • Camper Registration: After receiving an invitation, a player must complete both the registration form and payment to confirm their spot. Invitations are not confirmed until registration is complete and the respective payment is processed. An invitation alone is not a guarantee that a roster spot will remain reserved.

Important CP3NMSC camper registration facts:

  • The number of invitations extended exceeds the available roster spots (by ~10%) for each event.

  • For this reason, registration is first-come, first-served until capacity is reached.

  • Every CP3NMSC event has sold out each year in its more than 10-year history.

✅ I Received an Invitation—What’s Next?

Once invited, players must:

  1. Access the registration page via the link sent within the official CP3NMSC invitation email or text.

  2. Complete registration and payment immediately to confirm a roster spot.

    • Further details and instructions are accessible through the registration portal.

NOTE: Those awarded CP3NMSC invitations are eligible to attend any event of their choice and up to two (2) of the five (5) regional events in the same year so long as a roster spot is available. CP3NMSC invitations are only valid for events during that respective calendar year. If enrollment has reached capacity, invitees will be directed to the waiting list, and informed of additional steps at that time.

Once again, receiving an invitation does not guarantee participation or that a roster spot will remain reserved. Due to enrollment demand, roster spots for each CP3NMSC event are confirmed only after completing registration. For this reason, all invitees should complete their registration and payment immediately upon receiving their invitation.

🧾 What Is Included In The CP3NMSC Camper Registration/Enrollment Fee?

Due to historical enrollment demand at CP3NMSC, the $399.99 registration fee is required for all campers who attend the event, regardless of whether they received an invitation.

Invitations are extended only to a select group of student-athletes nationwide, but due to the high level of interest, the registration fee is necessary to secure a player’s spot and to cover the comprehensive costs of delivering a unique and first-class experience.

The registration fee ensures that every participant benefits from:

  • An organized, professional, nationally recognized showcase environment with top competition.

  • Coverage and exposure from trusted national scouting/media outlets, helping elevate a player’s profile.

  • Access to elite facilities and experienced staff, ensuring a safe, structured, and highly competitive atmosphere.

  • A player package that includes customized uniform, station/drill work, and game play throughout the weekend.

  • Exposure to off-court classroom settings and various enrichment curriculum, including:

    •  📏 Combine-Style Measurements & Testing

      • Participate in professional photos (headshots & action) and verified data collection.

    •  🎥 Film Study & Basketball IQ Training

      • Learn how to break down footage and apply it to translatable skills on the court.

    •  🎤 Media & Communications Training

      • Build poise and confidence on and off the court while interacting with scouts and evaluators.

    •  🥗 Sports Nutrition & Performance Habits

      • Gain knowledge on how to best fuel your body and mind for peak performance.

    •  🎓 Recruiting, Eligibility & NIL Seminars

      • Direct insight and feedback from NCAA experts.

    •  👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Workshops

      • Guidance on navigating grassroots basketball at an elite level.

While receiving an invitation is a tremendous honor and recognition of your child’s talent and potential, the registration fee is required for all campers to confirm attendance and participate fully in the program.

✈️ Are Travel, Lodging, and Meals Included?

No. Campers and families are responsible for:

  • Travel to/from the event

  • Hotel accommodations

  • Meals/snacks throughout the weekend

Nearby food options are available near each respective host gym/venue. Outside food or drink are permitted at the discretion of the facility. A guardian must be present at all times during the event.

🏨 Is Staying at a Host Hotel Required?

While not required, we strongly recommended utilizing CP3NMSC hotel providers. We partner with various hospitality groups at each CP3NMSC event to provide hotel room blocks. Supporting this program benefits everyone and we strive to offer:

  • Discounted Room Rates (limited availability).

    • Our ability to keep costs manageable for campers & families depends partly on strong hotel pickup.

  • Proximity to the Event Facility/Gym.

    • By booking with local partner hotels, we maintain relationships with venue operators and other nearby vendors, who support our efforts year after year.

  • Enhanced Guest Experience.

    • Staying with other camper families creates convenience, camaraderie, and consistency.

NOTE: CP3NMSC does not directly manage or guarantee hotel rates nor room bookings and/or cancellations. Please carefully review booking policies of outside groups. We encourage you to make your arrangements as quickly as possible as availability limited and cannot be guaranteed.

While we can’t predict exact pickup numbers, every camper/family that books through our hotel provider helps us sustain the best possible pricing for event event. We appreciate your cooperation!
